Hi, I’m Anil Stocker, CEO and Co-Founder of MarketInvoice.
I co-founded the company in 2011 and been the CEO since. Having studied economics at Cambridge I worked in private equity for five years during which time I spoke to hundreds of business owners and came to understand the financial constraints they faced. Nothing frustrates me more than a good business held back for no good reason.
As well as finance, I’ve always been interested in technology, and long felt that the former could be vastly improved by better application of the latter.
Along with friends from my time at Cambridge I hit upon the idea of helping businesses access finance by selling individual invoices direct to investors to raise funding. I quit my job in 2010 and MarketInvoice began trading in 2011. We’re now one of the largest peer-to-peer lenders in Europe.
I’ll blog here from time to time about finance, politics, economics and life inside the fintech movement. I’ll also share some cool things from MarketInvoice.
