Nominated for the Growing Business ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ Award

I’ve been nominated for ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’:

“MarketInvoice founders Anil Stocker and Charles Delingpole have been nominated for a prestigious Growing Business ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ Award by Real Business.

The Growing Business Awards, established in 1999 has strived to champion Britain’s best fast-growth companies through recognition of SME and entrepreneurial success. The Growing Business Awards launch Global Entrepreneurship Week, a centrepiece event in the government-backed week broadening the conversation of entrepreneurial ideas and addressing regional issues to drive the next generation of business owners.

The Young Entrepreneur of the Year award is considered a platform for launching the ‘UK’s finest young entrepreneurs’. The criteria are strict; the judges set out to find businesses providing innovation in product, service or sector with the power to disrupt industries and evidence that a high-growth business is being built.”

Anil Stocker and Charles Delingpole, MarketInvoice
Cambridge University graduates Anil Stocker and Charles Delingpole are the founders of MarketInvoice: the UK’s first marketplace for trading invoices. Their website gives small companies the chance to sell invoices from large clients to institutional investors looking for attractive returns on capital. The “eBay for invoices” site offers a number of advantages over traditional alternative finance – including faster cash advances, no contractual lock-in, no personal guarantees from directors and lower fees. Since its launch in February this year, Marketinvoice has channelled more than £2.5m of institutional funds to SMEs. Stocker and Delingpole have been backed with £660,000 of seed finance from angel investors including Rumi Verjee, who brought Domino’s Pizza to the UK.
